The summer is such a fun time in Colorado Springs. The warm weather, extended daylight hours, and abundance of natural beauty make everyone thankful to live here. As the city has grown, more activities have become available to residents. For instance, the summer concert series’ list gets longer each year. In 2022, there will be multiple opportunities to enjoy music on summer evenings and afternoons. Here is a look at just some of the popular summer concert series in and near Colorado Springs this summer.
Students, mentors, and friends of the Colorado Springs Conservatory will perform in parks across the city from June 3 through August 5. The concerts are free from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. Here are the dates and parks where the concerts will take place:
First & Main Town Center, located along the Powers Corridor, offers free summer concerts in June and July from 5-6 PM. There will also be a beer garden sponsored by the Catamount Institute. Here’s the lineup:
The Music Under the Mountains Concert Series is a new event this year. It is presented by KRDO News Radio at The Promenade Shops at Briargate. Live music will be available on Fridays in mid-June through July from 5-7 PM. The concert will take place next to Ted’s Montana Grill. It’s free, just bring lawn chairs or blankets and arrive early to get a good spot. Here is the list of performers:
Shows in this concert series begin at 7 PM in the Bud Ford Pavilion at Soda Springs Park in Manitou Springs. This event is free, but bring your own chair to be comfortable. Here is a look at the lineup:

Located in Southeast Colorado Springs, Hillside Gardens is a beautiful venue. Spend a summer evening here enjoying a concert. The doors open at 5:30 PM, and the music is from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. Tickets are available at the door and are $15 each, including a house drink. Concerts are for ages 16 and up, and there will be food vendors available. Bring your camp chair and enjoy the two bands that play each night through September 28. Here are the bands that will be performing:
Free and open to the public, the concerts at Music on the Mesa take place at Gold Hill Mesa’s Community Center. Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket and enjoy the music in this community on the West side of Colorado Springs. Some dates include special events and food trucks. October 9, from 11 AM to 3 PM, come for the Fall Festival, which benefits Bear Creek Nature Center. Food will be available from Solsage and Sapo Guapo Tacos.
This concert series is presented by Grace and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church near the Old North End neighborhood of downtown Colorado Springs. Music is available on select Fridays at 7 PM. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Bring a blanket or a chair and consider making a donation for a beverage. Concerts move inside if the weather is poor, so come even if it’s raining.
